EPWIKEK is Mi’kmaw for Calm Waters, and in Nujio’qonik, Ktaqmkuk (Bay St. George, Newfoundland) this is a name for the community known as Flat Bay. It is also a reference to the waters between the peninsula of Sandy Point and the land along the southern shores of Bay St. George. This location for Shore2Shore covers a region that includes Muddy Hole in the east, Flat Bay East, Flat Bay West, St. Teresa and Journois.
